Hi
We upgraded from 7.2 to 7.3 but after the upgrade the admin panel is really slow and we get time outs to Database for example when i want to update an user details. (this never happened before) we do have a few websites which i have updated before with no trouble. the current version we have is 07.03.04 (45). is there a way we can like "re-install" this version to maybe fix some errors in the upgrade as i think there was errors when upgrading and i do not have idea on how to check. Kindly can you advise how i can get our website to what it should be?

how many user accounts are there in your dnn install?
I strongly suggest upgrading to DNN 7.4.2 at least, as there have been performance improvements applied.
You might also try my Turbo Scripts, please make sure to read instructions first.

Hi Sebastian
yes i have checked out your turbo scripts and i think once i have the issue with the DB sorted i will install them. I will test the skin with version 7.4.2.

We have 286887 users that are registered.

I did however pick up yesterday that our database is over 3gigs big

Do you have a redemy i can do to clear out users (we only use the login for people to access our download page) but surely that should not have an impact on the speed?

I do think something else might be wrong with the Database itself as it does not make sense that the db can be that big.

Kindly advise at your soonest convenience.

Jason

Hi

We have 286887 users. I see the DB is unusually big (3gigs)  so i think there might be something wrong with the DB itself.

How will i be able to delete users that is older than July 2016? (our logins are only used for downloads of our software)

Kindly advise at your soonest convenience.

Jason,
I'd use report "Disk space used by top tables" in SQL Server Management Studio to identify, what is causing the db site. most likely, it is one of the tables SiteLog, ScheduleHistory, EventLog, Exceptions or old Search Tables (you may clear them, my TurboDNN will take care of it).
