Hi There,

I have a column which I have named SchemeID, which is a text field and I have set to searchable. It is the only column that is searchable.
What do I need to do, in order to only return only exact matches when searched? No wildcards or prefix with | etc, so to get a result the user must input an exact value of a least one SchemeID value

In configuration>list settings there is a 'filter statement' setting. Is it possible to use this?
So in my example, if I wanted to return results that only matched, say, the value: "abc123" I could use: [Scheme ID] ='abc123' and all records, and only records with that value would be returned.
However, how do I change the expression, so that the value is what the user has inputted in the search box?

filter expression might listen to Server Variables and querystring parameters, but not to form fields, sorry.
You might try to modify stored procedure used for search (if filtering is not performed in API, I am currently not sure - in this case you'd need to modify source code of the module).

Thanks for your rely Sebastian, modifying the code is out of my league I'm afraid, I' have look for another solution
