Hi,

My client wants to be able to enter SEO / Metadata / Keywords into each record in a F&L db. Is that possible? Or does it even make sense to do that?

Thanks, Jim.

Hello Jim,

I'm puzzled by this. I don't think this makes sense or perhaps I didn't get the scenario. I can understand if someone wants to do SEO on the page where the module is located in order to "promote" the page in google, but I don't understand why someone would want to do SEO in the records.
Perhaps I didn't understand what you mean?

AFAIK FnL does not support SEO-Title, description and keywords per record in a master detail view. I suggest using a 3rd party module, which includes this feature.

The client has a large database of applicators for their products. They wanted to promote their applicators (not the F&L landing page) via SEO search results. Apparently they had an SEO consultant review their site and that was what they recommended along providing SEO data for each and every record...

Thanks Sebastian. I thought that was the case. Do you know of any 3rd party module that could provide this sort of thing -- hopefully one that could import F&L records?

Thanks!

there are many article modules like ZLDNN Articles, which supports SEO properties, but they are article modules, not ideally for product databases and don't provide an import of FnL records.
You might have a look at 2scx (I haven't tried it myself yet)
