When creating module or theme templates through Visual Studio 2015, are we allowed to apply code mentioned below, so that curtain HTML conditions are met for specific roles?

<asp:LoginView id="WLCRoles" runat="server">

          <RoleGroups>

                 <asp:RoleGroup Roles="my-custom-role-001">

                         <ContentTemplate>

                                      //...

                                      //HTML content only for this role group to see

                                     //...

                          </ContentTemplate>

                    ...

           ...

...

DNN is not using ASP.NET roles and role groups.

I understand it doesn't OOTB. But can we and how? I want to use DNN with SSO and need these role conditions in my DNN custom modules, based on user role types.

what do I need to do to wire this up for module development?

I wouldn't mix DNN roles with other roles.
You may use SSO using a DNN authentication provider but would need a mechanism to synchronize your roles using a different way.
