Hey everyone,

I'm very new here, and I apologize if this isn't the right thread to ask this question.
If it is the incorrect place please let me know so I can move the topic.

Now for the actual question: I have a customer using DNN version 7.4.0.353 , and he has apparently deleted his web.config file by mistake. I have no access to the web server, so whatever I do I have to do it using the website's control panel which is WSP.
I have tried to install the same version somewhere else and copy the web.config to this website, but I'm still getting the same error. which is:

===============

Could not load file or assembly 'System.Net.Http.Formatting' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Can any of you guys help me to solve this issue?

Any help is appreciated.

I think you'd have a better chance by recovering the deleted one from a recent backup.

Installs/upgrades/module installs - all can modify the web config. I doubt you can jsut grab one from a raw install and expect it to work.

Yes. I've tried that. Unfortunately we were informed of the problem 10 days after it had accured and we don't have the backups on that particular server anymore. Is there any last way out I can try to fix this? Before I give up and just tell the poor guy his website is gone.

Yes. But unfortunately we were informed of this issue more than ten days after it happened, and we only keep updates for a week! So there's no more backup available with the settings the customer requires.

Is there any other way I can try to help my customer before I just give up and tell him his website is gone!?

Well you should tell us what you *have* tried.

That way people don't waste your time, and theirs, with ideas you have tried already.

Best wishes,
