Can anybody recommend any other CMS than DNN that I can look at please?
I think I've had enough now. DNN seems  to be turning into a complete mess with the release of DNN9 (and before) and life is too short to mess around with the problems in it.
Serious bugs seem to be being ignored while we get "improvements" that are not improvements instead.
I know about Wordpress but wondered if anyone here can point me in the direction of something that works.
Cheers

Funny enough, BTW, Wordpress has the administration & control bar on the left hand side, too. And it's been there for ages. But I never heard anyone complaining about that. Now you know who's copying whom.
And when you report a problem there, most of the times it gets fixed within hours.
FYI, I've been with DNN since 5.4 and took to WP as soon as I heard of the changes to the DNN itself and the experienced staff being asked out.

Thanks Greg. I worry about  security only from the point of view that a lot of spam I get seems to redirect from, what look like hacked WP sites.
Have you tried DNN 9? It's awful.
I say it really isn't a good advert for evoq. If this is what they publish I wouldn't invest a lot of money as evoq can't be much better. Isn't it just the same thing with extra features?
People said years ago when evoq launched that we're just beta testers, that seems to be true. Maybe alpha testers. DNN seems to be given to us to check instead of them having to do it.
I see now that this website seems to be going the same way, I find it all quite sad really.
I think staff at DNN need to spend more time using their CMS instead of spending all their time in Visual Studio.

I was also surprised to see your reply as I'd actually come in here and already deleted this post.
That seems broken as well :-)
If they don't like it they can delete it.

Paul, I don't know why you're surprised. The forums here are a gargantuan beast and it's very hard to master them single-handedly. The only person who cared about the support, i.e. Sebastian, seems to have vanished or moved somewhere else for some reasons.

As for WP, I have set up some of my sites on Windows 2012 server/MSSQL 2014 Express and can tell you they're running fine on my VPS. There are WP plugins to keep you secure. Just look around on their site.

As it would seem inappropriate to recommend another system here if you have any questions then just PM me.
