Portal (1): demo.mydomain.com

Need to convert to “Client.Clientdomain.com”
Mainly, I’m trying to better understand what I need to do to
enable my client site to work as a parent portal under my hosting company.
Rightly or wrongly, I built my client site under “demo.mydomain.com. I’m nearing
completion and the next few steps are where I start getting confused.
My guess:

Remove alias in DNN for demo.mydomain.com
·
Add alias in DNN for Client.Clientdomain.com
·
Add A Record at WinHost for Client.Clientdomain.com
·
Transfer domain from GoDaddy to WinHost
·
Re-point client A records for Client.Clientdomain.com
from GoDaddy to WinHost
I know I’ve probably done something wrong and / or misunderstand
how things work, but I’m new to the whole portal thing…
Any advice and / or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
