Thank you Mike for sniffing out that issue. You saved my a lot of time and frustration. I am not sure how you figured that out.

I can confirm that changing the "True" to "False" on the line True of SiteAnalytics.config solves the issue. The tag insertion still works with that setting being false. It just means the tags don't necessarily get inserted at the top of the HEAD or BODY.

In my case I was using SiteAnaltyics.config to inject Google Tag Manager ala https://stackoverflow.com/questions/1....

In testing the Tag Manager is working fine after this change.

-something clever or funny.

I just had exactly the same issue on our site update. I never would have figured it out on my own in a million years without this thread. I can confirm that for our sites, which are using SiteAnalytics.config to inject both Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, changing the value for InjectTop from True to False immediately corrected the error. Thank you so much!

FWIW, this is an issue on 7.3.4 also.

Modified SiteAnalytics.config for GTM and all hell broke loose.

This is an issue on 7.3.4.

As soon as we change the SiteAnalytics.config file for GTM with InjectTop=True, and a host of module install/settings issued popped up.
