I am getting ready to launch a membership site and am trying to make sure I don’t run into issues with the large amount of emails that will be sent out when creating the accounts. I have searched high and low on trying to get an understanding of the SMTP setting in DNN for “Number of messages to be sent in each batch” and how that relates to the hourly limit of outgoing emails allowed by the hosting company, which in my case is managed .com. They have  a  limit of 150 outgoing emails per hour.  “Number of messages to be sent in each batch "is currently set to 50. I am using Bulk Manager Module to create the accounts in bulk. If I create 500 new accounts and each user receive an email how does that work. Does it send three batches of 50 for that hour then waits until the next hour to send the next 3 batches of 50. If I change the setting to 150 would it allow 150 be sent for that hour then wait till the next hour to send the next 150 until all 500 had been sent? I am strongly considering going with SMTP2GO to avoid the outgoing hourly limits set by my hosting provider but I am still not clear on exactly how this DNN SMTP setting of Number of messages sent in each batch works. If anyone can provide some clarification I would greatly appreciate it.
