Thanks for the reference, Barry.
But first I would like to learn about the built in Windows Authentication module, and what other options there are for intergrating a DNN installation with an existing Windows Authentication system.

Does anybody know anything about this?

Does anybody know anything about how to use the Windows Authentication module provider in DNN 9?? (Or how to intergrate Windows Authentication with DNN)

Thank you,
Tom

Tom,

the Windows Authentication is for signing in with your Active Directory credentials. This can also happen automatically. In my eyes, it only makes sense for Intranet or Extranet sites.

Happy DNNing!

Thanks Michael,
That's what I am trying to do. Setting up DNN for organizational intranet sites and using existing Active Directory logins so that users don't have to use two separate logins. What I'm hoping is that, since users are already to logged in to our network using AD, DNN will be able to pick up their login info and permissions can be set for various departments based on that.
If that's what the Authentication Module can do, I'm in. But I can't seem to find any documentation on it. Do you know how to set it up and use it?
Thanks again,
Tom

OK, I was able to get the DNN_ActiveDirectoryAuthentication Extension installed and I got to the Site Settings page.
Using this Documentation: http://dnnauthad.codeplex.com/documen...
I am not sure what to list inside the Root Domain and some of the other settings. Does anyone have more up to date info on how to set this up?

Tom
