IMO we are very lucky that DNNGo's crappy security did not hurt DNN and it's community a lot more than it already did.
Please don't forget DNNGo caused this themselves by selling "really nice looking cars, oh and they just forgot to install the breaks, airbags and the spare wheel".

I completely agree with your analogy, Timo. I don't think anyone is discounting the gravity of the situation.  I believe that the core issue being discussed here is a continuous lack of information since the incident(s).

The thing that has always been concerning for me when these things happen is the deafening lack of communication.  Lack of knowledge always causes this kind of conversation and has one possible result: varying levels of frustration and distrust.

I'm confused.
I've contacted DNNGO and they response to me that their products fixed the security issue at the beginning, and they already checked all their modules back in July. The latest version of all their modules and skins with patch in it have been submited to DNN Store, but no response come back from them.

I have spoken with Linda at DNNGO several times and she said she has fixed all of the security issues and provided the fixes to DNN but has never heard back from DNN at all. It seems that DNN is not responding or dragging it's feet in this scenario.

There are 2 other top 5 selling vendors that also had major security issues, one of them let two big security issues go unfixed for 9 months last year even though they knew about them and they were not removed from the store. I will not name them but this is completely unfair for DNN to pick ONE vendor and remove them from the store.

This is completely unfair and ridiculous. Add DNNGo back to the store. Do whatever you need to do quickly to get this vendor back before they are hurt to an extreme that they go out of business or drop DNN.

Every reply here has stated that DNN are the ones dragging their feet here. DNNGo is ready and willing to do whatever it takes. DNN, please make this happen quickly.

I don't agree. I trust the judgement of DNN corp more than a vendor that messed up if I'm honest.
Although I agree with Will that communication could have been better.
