Hi,

I've added Form and List 6.02 to DNN 8.00.04. I've created a new configuration and added several Rich Text fields. After saving the configuration, when I try to add a new record, every single field shows 'Custom Editor Options'. Am I supposed to configure each field's editor first??? This seems odd - also I don't know what to do to configure them...

Thanks

The 'Custom Editor Options' are part of the rich text editor and included in every instance - however settings can be stored on site, page or module level only.
You may ignore the options and just set on site level or override it (once) for the current module or page.
For performance reasons of the editor, I suggest to keep the number of rich text fields as small as possible.

Cheers from Germany,

Thanks for the reply. At the top of the CKEditor Provider Settings page, the 'Modify Settings for...' is set to Site. Checking the radio button for Page or Module just resets back to Site.

I'd be happy to leave the settings as is but it would appear I have to change something. However I can't figure out what I need to change/configure. I just want to be able to add some text in a field and format it, nothing fancy.

Gary,
unless you have a need for a specific setting, you should leave it as it is or modify on site level in Host > HTML Editor Configuration.
Note: the 'Custom Editor Options' link should be visible to site admins only.

I'm sorry for not being clear. The ONLY option I have in the New Record is 'Custom Editor Options' (for each of the 9 fields I created) - there is no possibility for me to add text to the field at all.
