I think it's a combination of DNN and something in either your server settings or your network infrastructure that's doing it and not just DNN. The challenge is figuring out what is causing it. I'm running almost the same setup as you except I'm using DNN 3.2.2 and I've got files > 20MB on one of my sites. I just tested to be sure and had no problem downloading a 13MB file. So, now we need to figure out where the problem is. I'd start looking in the DNN Eventlogs, your servers event viewer, and your IIS logs for anything that might point to why the downloads are crapping out. You might also try posting in the general DNN forums as I'm sure others that don't visit here or read the aggregated forum have run into the problem before and may have a solution for you.

Thanks for the time so far. I'll post the problem in the general forum, and should anything come out, I'll post a solution here as well, should anybody find this thread when they're suffering the same problem. The repository seems like a great module when its working, so I do hope we'll get to the bottom of the problem soon.
