For some reason, I can't get the trackback feature to work.
I tried to set the trackback manually, use the automatic mode.
No way...
I haven't investigated into trackback protocol but I suppose it's just some "http" and that firewall configuration should not be a problem.
Is there something that I should be aware, any ideas of what I should check?

For information, I'm using DNN 4.03.

Thanks in advance...

Was anybody able to successfully implement trackback feature?

All the other posts regarding problems with "trackback" are unanswered.

Is this feature broken? Is it supposed to work?

If I could at least get a yes or no...it could help.

Regards

It seems that this is a common problem for all the comunity. Even the trackback feature does not work here in the dotnetnuke blogs here, for example try this url http://www.dotnetnuke.com/DesktopModules/Blog/Trackback.aspx?id=1183

Whe trying this with Firefox it shows a rss file whith data but with an error message saying this: "This XML file has no style information asociated. The document tree is showed below"

Do you know how to correct this recurrent problem?

actually we disabled all the trackbacks on dotnetnuke.com because of the vast amount of trackback spam we were getting. Trackbacks do work, you should check at all levels, as the top level settings override individual blog settings, something I only discovered when I disabled trackbacks on my blog, but still got them as the top level blog setting still applied.

Thanks for the answer, I understand that in DotNetNuke web is disabled, but why is it still possible to see the trackback link?.

In my case I have just one blog, what I don't get it work. I don't know what to enable or disable. If you could give an URL to see it working.

Thanks in advance.
