As Willem said DNN doesn't compete with other cms' editors, on WordPress there are a lot of advanced editors, like:

Just look on one of these links and you will have a clear vision on what is the actual design & editor trend.

We are thinking to migrate to another platform for this reason: DNN Platform doesn't compete with other CMS on the design experience, can someone answer to our questions?

In the first phase, our goal is to perfectly support all our themes in Block Builder. We have eight DNN themes, and currently only the Press theme is supported by Block Builder. All other themes will follow soon. In the near future, we plan to add support for Bootstrap-based themes and focus more on non-EasyDNN themes.

We also have another great tool: EasyDNN StyleWizard. It enables CSS editing without writing a line of code, so you can use StyleWizard to style the pages built with Block Builder. It is possible to style all our themes with StyleWizard.
