EDIT: I figured it out.

I am trying to embeded some videos in my company's website but it won't display. I then found out I needed the Media Module ext so I went digging for that to no avial. It's not in the DNN store? I have found several resources on HOW to install it but not WHERE to find it. This site for example: https://www.aubrett.com/article/information-technology/web-development/cms-platforms/dotnetnuke/dotnetnuke-tutorials/embed-youtube-dotnetnuke. Cool easy to follow, it says the media module is already in the DNN software but then I go to Admin > Extension and it's not listed? (https://imgur.com/a/VDm5M)

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Do I need to find a module specifcally that lets you embed videos?  Am I not looking in the right place?

Oliver,

the Media Module was hosted here: https://archive.codeplex.com/?p=dnnmedia - there is no release on GitHub (yet?).

Download the archive and unzip it. You'll find a folder called "releases", and there you find a json file describing the different releases. To get the newest version (04.04.01), you have to rename the file "52bfcff1-9038-4141-bbfa-d586bb4b990f" (in the folder "releases\0") to "Media_04.04.01_Install.zip", then you can install it.

Please notice: This release is from June 2013. I am not sure if it works with newer DNN versions (8 or 9).

An alternative could be to host the video at YouTube or Vimeo or... and embed it in an HTML module.

Happy DNNing!
Michael
