UserPoints would be your (individual) table/query with users to make member of your role

Ok Sebastian. To be clear my requirement.

Please, can you tell me how to do easily? No need to consider the conditions here. (It is not only based on the points. But considering lots of conditions and updating our own user ranks system. We used the roleId = same RankId)

I need to add/update username called "yma12" to user role "DNNSpecialUser" role. I know the User Role ID from the dbo.Roles table. It is 12. User ID of "yma12" is 54.

So How can I add/edit User Id "54" to role id 12?

MERGE INTO dbo.UserRoles T
USING (SELECT 12 AS RoleID, 54 AS UserID) AS S ON T.UserID = S.UserID AND T.RoleID = S.RoleID
WHEN NOT MATCHED THEN INSERT (RoleID, UserID, Status) VALUES (S.RoleID, S.UserID, 1)

Thank you, Sebastian.

What do you think if I use it like this? (@ValidNextRank is equal to our DNN Role Id)

IF NOT EXISTS (SELECT UserID FROM UserRoles WHERE UserID = @UserID AND RoleID = @ValidNextRank)
BEGIN
INSERT INTO UserRoles (UserID,RoleID,[Status]) VALUES (@UserID,@ValidNextRank,1)
END

Y Ma, this works for a single value, but it does not follow the basics of SQL, which is created for mass operations.

Sebastian Leupold
