I recently upgraded my web site from DNN 3.1.x to DNN 4.3.2.

After I did, I could not login or access many of modules.  I was getting an error that reads:

A critical error has occurred.
Offset and length were out of bounds for the array or count is greater than the number of elements from index to the end of the source collection.

I upgraded to 4.3.3 (Final) and the error is still there, leaving my site limping along with errors and the inability to log in.

There might be leftover files from previous DNN3 interfering with DNN 4. I recommend to check files and dll by date and remove those, that are replaced now.

Also please check your web.config, there are now two places in it, where the connection string needs to be edited, ensure, that they are both identical.

I just upgraded my system from 4.0.3 to 4.3.3. And after adjusting the web.config ( Machine keys) it was working fine so far. Just need to upgrade Active forums.

I'am using VMware for my servers and its just great to be secured with the knowledge of allways returning to your stating point!

Regards,

Rene
