Sconard, I'm just looking at this chunk of code to see if it can be easily incorporated into the DNN 4.5 AD Fix. I take it that the "11." in the following line is your internal addressing correct?

If Not InStr(Left(Request.ServerVariables("remote_addr"), 3), "11.") = 0 Then

I'm not sure I'll be able to incorporate it as everyone's internal IP's are going to be different.

Correct.

And:

It would have to be a setting but I would vote for it if there were no better solution.
The wow factor to my superiors was off the scale when I used on sites that clients/subcontractors/internal users frequently access.  I have over 150 sites from one dnn portal using this.

Yeah, I'm thinking about it. I just don't want to make too many changes to the core. A .dll update/replacement is okay as it's pretty straight forward installation wise but once we get into "You have to replace this file and this file and this file and these .dlls" it opens a whole new can of worms that I'm not sure we want to get into.

I am having trouble with aspnet membership since my portal is an upgrade from 3.3.5.  My fix has been tested and will function in a new install of 4.5.1. 

Prior Post said: Any progress on this?  I tried to upgrade to 4.5.1 with my local address check and the Mike Horton fix with no success at autologin in mixed mode.  I am about to attempt a rewrite as something has changed.  I will post fix if I am successful.
