Hey everyone,

I am just curious.  On the "Edit User Profile" page there is a checkbox that is grayed out called "Locked Out".  After doing some searching, I still don't know what this is or what it does.

Anyone?

A user can get locked out if they have too many failed attempts at logging in which is configured in the web.config

I'm not sure why it is shown to all users though, because they can't change it, and they are't even going to see it if they are locked out.
That will probably get cleaned up as we move forward.

BTW, an admin can clear this lock, or you can configure an automatic unlock on the the Host Settings page.

Normally a user account gets locked if they unsuccessfully tried to login more than 5 times. This setting is then automatically cleared after 10 minutes. You can change these values in "User Settings".

Well, this could be helpful.  We are looking for a way to ban users from the site (without deleting their account).
