Did you try clicking on the icons to expand the Group node?

Stupido! I just sent a long post you can ignore! [Can we delete it?]

Yes, you have to CLICK on the Group node ICON! I was so focused on that darn check box I did not hear you -- I did not move to mouse over far enough to get the clue on what was going on ! I was thinking the click event with the check did something and it does NOT !

If I can't figure this UI then what are my users going to think? Three suggestions we need to make the tree view design patern siminlar across DNN: 1) take a look at the file manage tree -- I understood how to operate that, 2) add alt text something like "click here to expand", and 3) change the core client api js as you describe to have the option to remove the checkbox on group nodes.

Again, by apologies....

Hal, its ok and I am the one who deleted that post. I understand there may be usability issues especially with it being a new feature. The first thing we as a team can do is get it out there then wait to hear responses before determing what is really usable. I was talking w/ Jon (Client API) today and we discussed that there is another css class which can be applied which we will help improve usability here as well. (It affects keyboard only navigation mostly, via hover)
