Can't seem to get the install package to, well, install. I have both the .Net 1.1 and .Net 2.0 installed on a W2K3, but in the options for IIS (ASP.Net )I can only choose ver. 2.0.5xxx. In the windows/microsoft.net/framework I have both version there.

When I browse to my site, I get this message:

Server Application Unavailable

The web application you are attempting to access on this web server is currently unavailable.  Please hit the "Refresh" button in your web browser to retry your request.

Administrator Note: An error message detailing the cause of this specific request failure can be found in the application event log of the web server. Please review this log entry to discover what caused this error to occur.

I thought that version 3.x would run on 2.0. (Ideally I would like it to run on 1.1 for now)

Do you have a different application pool for 1.1 and 2.0.

They can not share the same application pool in IIS 6.

So if you have one applikation on 1.1 and another on 2.0 they have to have different applikation pools.

Thanks Geert. I did that but now I have another problem, even though Network Service has full control over the directory

DotNetNuke Configuration Error

Could not find a part of the path "D:\Web Sites\mnointra\Config\Backup_20067261851\web_.config".

DotNetNuke has extensive file upload capabilities for content, modules, and skins. These features require custom security settings so that the application is able to create and remove files in your website.

Using Windows Explorer, browse to the root folder of the website ( C:\DotNetNuke by default ). Right-click the folder and select Sharing and Security from the popup menu ( please note that if you are using Windows XP you may need to Enable Simple File Sharing before these options are displayed ). Select the Security tab. Add the appropriate User Account and set the Permissions.

If using Windows 2000 - IIS5
- the {Server}\ASPNET User Account must have Read, Write, and Change Control of the virtual root of your website

If using Windows 2003 - IIS6
- the NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE User Account must have Read, Write, and Change Control of the virtual root of your website  I have another problem. I get this message:
