Is there anything i can do to resolve this one as its a pain?

I am running dnn 3.2.2 with .net 1.1

Thanks

How many files are in the directory tree?  If there are a lot (2,ooo or more) in a single folder then I would organize them into more folders.

You can also try to move some out, do the sync, then move them back and sync again.

Hi

Theres around 40MB of files in some 15 subfolders below the root, i cant see any reason why it should time out........

Unfortunatly there is no cure for that currently,

read my post from some time back about it:

http://vladan.strigo.net/Blog/tabid/71/ctl/ArticleView/mid/388/articleId/7/File-syncronization-timeout.aspx

they've added the possibility to sync one folder at a time in dnn 3.3 (I think it's 3.3) but it's still very inefficient.

I've made for my company a routine that does the syncronization (it's been tested with upto 60000 files) much more efficient, but as other tasks got higher priority never finished testing it.

Thanks,
