Hi All,

I'm deploying a ASP.NET in the virtual directory under the website root folder..
I've created as Virtual Application, and assigned with it's application pool.

The DNN site can be browse from www.sitename.com and the new app from www.sitename.com/newapp

I need to have the newapps still using the same domainname since they will use the SSL certificate.

However, when I tried to deploy my new app, it tried to use DNN web.config, instead of the new app web.config.

I know there is inheritance when deploying in subfolder.

So, my question is how to ignore the inheritance from web.config in root folder.

Cheers,

Will

In .net 1 or 1.1, you can use the Clear command in the the web.config.  Not sure about .net 2.

Other option - can you config your dotnetnuke as a virtual folder (example "home") on the web server?  And in the root, you create a script to redirect to dotnetnuke folder?  IIS also has option to redirect in the IIS management screen.
