As I was playing with some settings - I set the Login page to be the home page - in theAdmin settings.  Today - when I am accessing my portal, I click the Login link - and, sure enough, I am sent to the home page of my site.  Except... there's no Account Login module on the home page.

In order to adjust it - I need to login... but I can't login.

I tried adjusting things in the database, but nothing is changing?

1. What do I have to do in the db to get a login module somewhere accessible?
2. Is it possible that cacheing is preventing me from seeing my changes?

Thanks ahead of time for the help.  I feel like an idiot that I locked myself out of my own site.

The table you need to edit is "portals".  The the "LoginTabId" field contains the TabId of the login page - or and clear it out (set it to null) to use the default.  The SQL would be something like:

UPDATE Portals
SET LoginTabId = NULL

(Note, this assumes you only have one portal.  If you have multiples, you will need to add "WHERE PortalId = x", where x is the portal id of the portal you are having problems with.

Adn you are right, DNN most likely caches this value.  If you recycle the application, you will clear the cache.  Try editing web.config to recycle the application.

Although, as of 7/29/2006 - the code attached to the blog did not work for DNN 4.3.3
