I've looked all over for where a "name" is not filled out.  Everything is complete.

I tried as a Host.  Nope, can't upload due to name being locked and blank.
I tried as an Administrator.  Nope, can't upload due to name being locked and blank.
I tried as a Regisetered User with a custom role.  Nope, can't upload due to name being locked and blank.

I'm in the middle of rebuilding my development computer but I will check this out once it's complete.

I've figured it out for my situation, and maybe others.  It's not as much a bug as it is an anti-customization problem.

The repository that comes with the 4.3.5 download bases it's "Name" field off of the "FirstName" field from the profile.  The problem that I had, was that the profile I want does not need a first name, we simply use character names, through the username field.

So in my design, I had removed the default "FirstName" field from my profile.  I tested it by re-adding a "First Name" column, but that did not work.  I finally figured out the original first name column was actually named "FirstName" and some how puts the space in the name when displaying "First Name".

All in all this is going to force me to use a profile column I don't really want.  I haven't tried to re-add "LastName" but I'd assume it would show up as well.

Is there a reason this does not use the User Registration fields instead of the profile?

Due to outside issues/influences there hasn't been a new release of the Repository since before the way the core changed the way DNN handled membership which has caused the problem you're seeing. Steve has been working on a new release and it should be out soon.
