I currently have a project going in DNN 4.3.3 and eventually I will need to create some custom modules. I am currently developing the project from a machine seperate from the machine that has the DNN source installation. The only problem is that the computer that has the installation of DNN cannot run Visual Studio 2K5, not to mention the fact that I don't have full access to the machine. So I wonder what my options are for module creation. Would it be easiest to just install DNN 4.3.3 on my machine, develop modules from a local installation, and then package them for installation on the other machine? Or is there an easier/less complicated way to do this?

Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. (By the way, I'm not sure if this post should go here or elsewhere, but this semed like a logical place.)

My suggestion is to develop locally, test remotely, and then deploy to the server.  If you do not have a staging/QA server, skip step two. So the short answer is yes, I always dev locally, then package and install.  This forces correct versioning, etc.
