Hello all,

I've just installed the DNN 4.3.3 starter Kit (DNN first timer!)  Everything went well, however I had read about The Content Editor role and Page Editor Roles in the DNN Online Help, however I cannot seem to find those roles.  (I only see Administrators, Registered Users, and Subscriber roles.  Where do I access Content & Page Editor roles to add users to them?

Here are the links describing the roles in the online help...

Introduction To The Content Editor Role
Content Editors are able to manage module content only.   read more...

Page Editors have rights to manage one or more pages and to add pages and modules to these pages.   read more...

Content Editors are members of all roles, that have been granted "Edit Module" permission in module settings.

Okay, I understand.  They are not a pre-existings role.

Another question, I would like to create two roles:

The "myPageEditor" role that has the abiility to add/edit/delete pages and modules within them.

The "myContentEditor" role that has the ability to add/edit/delete only the content within modules.

After clicking around, it looks like the only way this can be done is to go to the page settings and module settings of each page and module and grant the two roles proper access.  If you have a lot of modules this seems like it would take a long time.  This also requires a lot of upkeep if you are constantly adding pages & modules.

I guess what I'm looking for is the abililty to edit permissions while I"m creating a role.  So I can grant a role "can edit pages" or "can edit modules" rights without having to go to each page and module to add them.

Is there an easy way this can be done?

there is no option for this in the core - AFAIR there are 3rd party modules for this, have a look at www.snowcovered.de and http://sourceforge.net/projects/wg-dnnadmin
