Was there a way to restore the media modul to image modul per sql? The same way as you ( :( ) overwrite it on uprade!

I also have MANY issues with the Media module.  I recently upgraded from 3.2.2 to 3.3.4 and in SOME portals the image module stayed intact but in other portals the image module was replaced by the media module.  In EVERY case where the image module was replaced by the media module, the images overlap and are not displayed correctly like they were prior to the upgrade.  I have too many modules with images to convert them manually.  Anyone have any suggestions on how to correct this without having to do it manually!!!???

I agree.

The image module adds two
tags around the image. It also ignores the module setting to remove the container.

Because of this behavior you can't use the media module to place an image in a confined area. It forces a small 1-2px space to the right forcing the entire thing to unalign.

Generally I'm happy with Dot Net Nuke, but I must say their is a lot of over engineering going on here. I think this is a case of that.

I look foward to the fixes in the next version and keep up the good work!

Does anyone know of a way to fix this?  Even if it means modifying the source?

I ended up wring some SQL to fix this.  I changed all of the "media" modules back to image modules.  Luckily all of the modules that I needed to fix all pointed to external URL's so the script was pretty straight-forward.  Once that was done, I cleared the cache and they were all back to image modules and the alignment and cropping issues were gone again.

For now, I will stick to the Image module until the media module is more stable and has more of a response to existing issues from the lead developers.
