OK, resume and correct all before:

  • You use DNN 2, before the Skin menu items had been added.
  • In this version upload can be done ONLY via host settings for all portals or portal settings for a single portal
  • AFAIR the host must grant permission to upload skins, he only need sto check a single option in host settings

Forget all about parsing, FTP upload, permissions - those apply only either to later versions or if a visible error has occured during upload.

Note that the file manager cannot been used to upload skin packages.

1. I use DNN 4 2. I am Host and Admin access of my DNN install 3. I know how to turn over skin intall access to Admin in Host settings 4. How does this help me? :D

vrxdesign,

please do not hijack threads, as happened to me, this leads into confusion.

Ask your host to grant upload skin permissions and you will find an upload option.
