Anthony, thank you for pointing this out - I obviously overlooked this. Does en-AU, en-GB or en-CN also convert time display to ISO 24-hours instead of this odd AM/PM format?

Cheers from Germany,

It (effectively) sets the ui culture to whetever you've picked - so it should have an effect on date and time formats, currency & decimal symbol, etc - everything that's locale specific (at least, everything that Microsoft thought of!).

I think a better solution would be to make a change to the forum module or any module that displays the date, where you can change in its settings how the date is displayed.  This is a normal feature in forums such as phpbb and other php based forums that are popular.  This also leads me to the point that we should look into suggesting some new features for the forum that everyone is used to from php forums.  I think it would make everyons life easier.

Thanks for bringing this up.  I honestly never thought about it.

It sounds to me like it may be worth while to enable some of those others by default.

So, if I read this right, it is not a language pack, but just enabling other locals right?

in this case I would like to have a culture with 24h format added, so I can read the time values as I am used to.
