Hello,

I have installed DNN 4.3.3 on my local machine as a virtual directory with the usual trial and error, and it works great. Repeated the procedure of a fresh install more than 10 times to be sure I got the hang of it.

Now I want to install it as a website on a Servr2003 machine. No more http://localhost/dotnetnuke. Now it has to be http://develop.dotnetnuke on our development server, with a database on another Server2003. Installation runs smoothly. I see the database operations, modules being installed, the basic DotNetNuke.template gets installed. Then the link below says Click here ...

And I get a "The page cannot be displayed". "The page you are looking for is currently unavailable." blah blah

I added a simple index.htm to my root, and when I browse to http://devel.dotnetnuke/index.htm, it works fine. When I browse to http://devel.dotnetnuke/default.aspx, I get the samepageNotFound error.

Is this some sort of UrlRewrite or portal alias that points to the wrong path? Can anyone help me?

I've seen the same thing on a couple occassions.  Double-check your settings in IIS.  Then clear your browser (cookies, temporary internet files, and history), open your browser & try again.  If the error returns on the new attempt, try stopping & restarting IIS.

Hope this helps.
