Hi all,

Im using DNN3.3.2 to develop a website for an organization. the website does not require website visiter to register, I was therefor trying to earse the 'dnn: login' token from the skin.

I soon after found out that, if i earse the token from the skin, Admin and host are not able to log in the website and make change because there would be no place for them to login.

So, I go creating a login module on a page for people to login, but I can not prevent website visiter from registering with my website.

Any suggestion would be appreciated

in portal settings alter registration type to private, this removes the register, not the login link.

I think you can get to a login without having the LOGIN listed

Try this

Click your login link which will take you to specific page in to login, copy this adress from the address bar.

Now close ie

re open paste this address. I believe you will find yoruself at the login page.

You can then make yourself a simple www.mycompany.com/login.htm or asp that redirects you to this link inside DNN to login

Let me know if this works. I have been playing with this concept based on how i am developing DNN site rihgt now that does not need login its just for me LOL because I love the point and click edit

Hope this helps,
Scott Owens
