Hey guys and gals, I have a quick one for you.

I went through the DOCS from DNN as I saw recommended. Excellent document btw. Make a terrific skins with images tables etc; however. I upload zip files, they get parsed, I did'n't see any errors.  There are no preview yet because I can't get it applied to snap a snap shot. Shows up after I upload in the uploader section.

Next, I goto home page for example, setting, and want to apply my new skin it is not in this list.

I goback to host/skins and it is there,

I don't understand, if it doesn't show up does that mean something is wrong?

Thanks,
Scott Owens

Ok I fixed it.

I got it showing up etc.

Problems

1. XML file was not formatted correctly, and the zip file was zipped improperly

Example of how zip should lok

Name of Skin/Contains

   ZIP FILE (SKns.zip

FILES DIRECTLY BGELOW HTML, PICS, XML, CSS sheet if desired

   Zip File (Containers.zip)

         Fiels directly below HTML PICS

Make sure you pay attention to the parser results it was how I debugged the skin to work.

I just have some formatting issues to work out with CSS, like tables growing etc, butI'm almost there.

I hope this helps

This is why I don't use that method of skinning. It's much easier to edit the ascx file directly and skip the xml and parsing. Just FTP and it works.
