I have a problem whereby I create a homepage and am using it as the template for all other pages.
So when I create another page I copy the page and the modules.
Now the issue arises when I go back to the homepage .i.e. the template in essence and make a change to a module. It doesn't change or update the module displayed on the copied pages.
Is there a way to do this and refelect all the changes and updates?

thanks,
Michael.

Assuming you are using add page in DNN 3.3x/4.3.x, you can specify the modules you want to take over from the original page and how. if changes made on one page shall affect the other page as well, use reference, if both shall be independant use new (blank content) or copy (same content to start with). Hi Sebastian

I'm trying to figure out this new Page Templating functionality - I notice when you add a new page you get "Default" in the Template list. Where is this mastered? I looked at Pages under Admin and there's nothing there - how do I change "Default" or add new page templates?

Is there any documentation on this? Thanks in advance...

Rodney,

You will find the templates in /Portals/_Default/Templates

Aah- ok - I thought you set up a page in the UI and marked it as a Template somehow. I presume you can Export a page to Template XML somehow? I've looked in the core doc but I don't fine a lot of this stuff - is it just through trial and error?
