Hi all,

I am having the following problem. I have transferred my DNN to a new host with a new domain name. However, now when I try to access my site, it redirects me to the old domain name. How can I fix this, so that the transferred DNN works with the new domain properly.

Thank you for your help in advance. I am looking for a speedy reply.

You will need to go into the database to the PortalAlias table and change th old URL in it to the new URL.  Then you will need to have a Application Restart done on the website (via IIS) - or you can try making a change to the Web.Config because that should force an IIS Restart.

Hi Oflus,
How do you do the portal transfer?
I want to take my DNN portal out from a web hosting company and put it on my webserver.
Is it enough to copy the DNN files into c:\inetpub\wwwroot\ or do I have to do something more.
I know how to set/recover the SQL database, but I don't know if there is something special that I have to do in web.config file.
Thanks.

Nedim
