Greetings everyone,

Recently started programming, or at elast trying to program, using the 4.3.4 package with source. I've managed to get the package to the point where it is compiling; however, I notice that all of the modules are there in spirit (in the DesktopModules folder) but not there in body (eep, no source in DesktopModules folder).

So I began downloading some of the more recent source releases of various modules, thinking surely I could get something to hook up right, but all I see are a bunch of modules still based on the old 3.x.x dev model.

Anyways, I'm now on the war path, converting projects to the 4.x.x model for VS 2005 Professional environment. If you've got any questions, jump on irc.stratics.com, #DotNetNuke, feel free to ask.

I recommend developing on the StarterKit.

Don't use the source version unless you really need to debug the core or if you need to change some part of the core.

All the modules are still based on the ASP.NET1.1 code model. They are binary compatible with ASP.NET2.0 but their source will not compile (without heavy modification)
