Is there a guide anywhere that has info on deploying DNN? I have it fully functional on my development workstation and need to deploy it to a production server.  I'm just wondering if I need to do a fresh install of DNN to the prod server and if there's an easy way to get all of my customizations (skins, module placement, custom modules, custom profile properties, stored procedures, etc) to that fresh install.

First, login as Host and enter an HTTP Alias (PortalAlias) under Admin > Site Settings that you will be using to access the site on the production server.

Make a Backup of the DB and restore that on Production.

Make a backup of all the files and restore them on the production server.

Set correct permissions on Production server.

Change DB connection strings, set compilation debug="false" in web.config.

Setup Production IIS to point to your DotNetNuke folder.

If everything is setup correctly in IIS, permissions, and web.config,  you can now browse to your site and enjoy...

Excellent blog!  that beats me typing it in by hand by three minutes, and has better detail.
Detach and re-attach for the DB works good too.
