I am trying to make a simple form. All it does is take a user input and redirect them to another page like a search form.

which will redirect them to another page http://www.blahblah.aspx?etc=(watever that was in the text box)

how can this be done in a simple form/module

Assuming you know how to make a form in VB.NET and handle button clicks in code behind, the URL below is an excellent tutorial on how to make a simple module.

system.windows namespace is for desktop applications

system.web is for web developement, but you cannot use a system.web.form, because DNN already uses a form and forms cannot be nested. have a look at the feedback module (source available), how to implement a forms module.
