Next, try turning off the footer via module settings. Does it still happen?

Yes it still happens sometimes...

Dale, can you post a link to the site? If you don't want it public, please email chris.paterra AT this domain.

No problem.

You will need to expand Communications in the Site Navigation and choose Core Forums. I currently have three forums: the old PHPBB that I am migrating from; ActiveForums, I purchased ActiveForums because of avatar issues, this formatting issue and I get a lot of object errors with the Core Forums.

I've got to say that if it were not for the above mentioned problems I would have moved on with the CoreForums. I plan to continue to track your work and when the above are no longer problems I will probably move back. So far I've not beem impressed with the response from the ActiveForums people. You are in here almost every day answering questions. That and continued improvement of your product is what will impress me.

Thanks Dale, I have been trying to move this project forward but time is so limited its very difficult for 'chunks' of time. Luckily, I am in the beginning of a 'chunk' where I do have some freetime.

As for ActiveForums, I have always wished Will the best and I do believe his product is pretty solid. I actually just started using it on a site (not one I did, but as a user) and it seems to get the job done. I am not an admin or moderator on there, so I am limited in what I know of the module. (Avoiding a conflict of interest) Feature wise, I think the core forums have more to offer. After the next release I see only 2 more major changes needed to make this module extremely solid. (Considering the funamental bugs will be exposed and fixed at a more rapid pace now that I know every line of code) I figure, two years working on this from start to finish to produce a very robust and stable module is fair considering I took over someone elses code. Lots of this modules growth so far has been taking advantage of more core API things then I know any other module is currently doing. This might be more apperent in the next release.

As for your site, i couldn't view the page (probably object reference error). Do you by chance have the Solpart Navigation on? If so turn it off (Forum Admin -> General Settings -> Generall Settings -> Solpart Navigation checkbox.) I may rip this feature out for next release, now that I think about it. (Implement back later on using core API of navigation provider, if people feel they really want it)

Is Solpart Navigation "Show Navigation"? If the answer is yes then then yes I had it turned on. I have unchecked that option. I am new to DotNetNuke, so I am not familiar with all the little parts.
