Hello,

I've worked out all of the functions for the new user / registration settings etc. in 4.3.3

But I can't work out what this one setting does, can anyone provide any clues?

Go to Admin / User Accounts / User Settings:
scroll to the bottom:

Users display mode in Manage Roles

has the option of text box / combo box and states in the help:
Select the Users Control to use in the Manage Roles module control

After changing the settings I can't see anything that changes.

Can anyone let me know what this does? Thanks, Lee

When you manage roles you can select users using a combo box or a text box. If it's a textbox, you need to type in the username. If it's a combobox you can select the user in a "dropdown" menu.

This seems like a quick fix for those with 1000's of users, since it's really hard to scroll through 1000's of entries in a combobox. It would be nice if we could get a decent list of users and sort by fields such as last active date, etc. But even the last active date is not accurate, because the login/authentication is screwed up, but no one in the core agrees with me. /rant off
