Looking to use DNN4 as a replacement for our intranet.  The issue is that we have an existing LDAP setup (not Active Directory) and we'd like to harness the already-existing userbase and group setup.

Ive looked into the DNN code a little and I understand the flow of when the user clicks the Login button.  My question is if anyone has any suggestions on the easiest way to add in the code that calls out to our LDAP.  Would I edit the included ASPNetMemberShipProvider?  Would I write a custom Login module?  Im just not sure which would be the best way (and going further, has anyone actually tried this before?  I havent seen any pre-built modules that work like this).

Thanks in advance!

Have you had any luck with this. I am desperately seeking a module or some code to enable one to authenticate users against an external LDAP (non MS AD). I am also looking at a way to use the LDAP schema to populate my roles rather than use the DNN roles. Are there any commercial modules out there?
