I too am having an image problem, but since the post did not specify, I started my own thread.  When I put the image to an external resource and put in the URL all looks fine.  I save it, click my category and the product comes up, not able to show the image.  I right clicked on the image and no matter what filename or URL I give the external image it has:

&IW=90

on the end of it and therefore never shows the image.

I'm sorry if this is something stupid I did.  I just don't know how to use the Store here.  I am using DNN 4.3.3 and the store that came in the install.

Thank you for any help.

I hope we get someone who knows to answer us.  I really like DNN, but getting answers are sometimes difficult, and I'm not complaining about the authors at all.  I don't know what it is about DNN, but nothing seems to be as free as it is with other languages.  Who knows..maybe everyone here that posts are just inexperienced.  I know I can't answer 1/10 of the questions on here.

The most likely cause is that the ProductImage field of dnn_Store_Products is incorrect, so thumbnail.ascx can not find the file.

You can check if the ProductImage is correct by taking your site url
eg http://mysite.com/default.aspx and replacing default.aspx by the ProductImage eg http://mysite.com/picture1.jpg ... if you get a 404 page can not be found error, that proves it was wrong

Just experiment with different values for product image until you get one that shows the page

As to why it was wrong, that is another question :)

I can't test this right now, but I will look it up later tonight.

As the OP said, &IW=90 is appended to the URL for external images, so the image URL is http://SomeExternalSite.com/image.jpg&IW=90 . I have not looked in the database to see which value is stored there, but will later (I'll even look into the source and see if I can track this down and patch it).

Using local images works fine, so that's my temporary solution.
