It seems I met this twice, but I don't know how this would be happened.

I create a forum with 2 groups, each group contains 3 forums.

I used host account to create all these forums.

Today, because somebody try to access my host account. For security issue. I decide to create a new superuser account. After delete the host account. I found all forums have posts post by host were gone.

I enter admin page try to modify the forum setting. But there was a error when I try to edit the forum. So finally, I have to re-contruct all forum and all posts gone.

Can anybody image how this would happened to tell me how to avoid this happened again?

Thank you~~

Wow, I was so lucky for not falling into this situation.

An admin account of my site died within over 100 posts. I almost delete that user from the directory but then decided just to lock him up (cause I'm not sure what will happen) But I don't know whether you can lock a superuser or not. May be that's possible.

What might happened there was : when deleted a user from the portal, all of his information in the databsase (including  forum posts) was thrown away. So, all the posts were gone also. About the forum settings, I'm not sure but just notice under each forum, there is a "Created by" field. May be the invalid user caused this problem.

That's only my idea and I can't be sure that it is a correct one. Anyway, it's good to know about this issue.

Best regards,

Duc

What core version and what version of the module?

I know the posts views are handled for deleted users in 3.20.08, but I am not so sure about the admin views yet.

I used DNN 4.3.4, I upgraded from DNN 4.3.3. The forum version is 03.20.07. Is that mean I should upgrade from 3.20.7 to 3.20.8 by my self?
