I want to start by saying I hope I don't offend anyone  here I realize people do this stuff for free.

I started using DNN with 4.0 so I'm also still somewhat new to this.

I was running DNN and every once in a while I'd find a bug, search the forums and usually find a solution on how to fix the bug by chaning code. Now I updated to the latest version and the bugs are back.

Does DNN have an entity that tracks bug fixes and is responsible for keeping everything in tact?

One of the bugs is pretty major, if you log in as admin and not host on a child portal you end up with all sorts of logout issues. Something like that I would expect to be added to some sort of test plan or something like that.

So, I've worked in Development and we had a QA department. They would be responsible for Signing Off on a release before it goes live. Does DNN have an entity like this? Like a QA Project Team that I don't know about? They run though a test plan and sign off on things before they are released or do the developers of the Core Team just handle the bugs?

Being a developer I know developers are the worst testers because they tend to 1. Do things logicly and 2.Miss the occasional thing they broke when fixing something else.

If there is a QA team I'd be interested in testing so that's mainly why I ask.

In response specifically to your remark about joining a QA team if one exists...  I can suggest becoming a Platinum Benefactor.  It gives you early access to releases and a more direct feedback mechanism to the core team, while simultaneously providing a bit of financial contribution to the product, and credibility / recognition to yourself through use of the Platinum logo.

Thanks,

I'd love to get the Platinum Benefactor thing but I've only done one customer site on DNN and I did it at a pretty low cost. I've also consulted on non DNN stuff for 6 weeks and I'm not being stiffed on the bill but the client is spending way longer then it should to get me the cash. I've got 60% 5 months later, so cash flow is a bit low. I also purchased a good amount of modules.
