I currently have a site using DNN 4.0.2, and just downloaded the upgrade package for the latest version of DNN. I noticed in the description of the upgrade in the sticky post above this sentence "Does not include any Module packages. The reasoning is that users do not always want to upgrade their modules when they upgrade the core." Does this mean the individual modules, such as events and text/html won't upgrade? Also will the new modules like the store modules install?

yes, the upgrade package only upgrades the core itself, some people did not like the fact that performing a portal upgrade upgraded all the modules also (particularly as the look and feel of some of them change substantially). If you want to perform module installs as well, download the install package, it contains the latest version of the modules at the point the package was assembled. If you don't want some of the modules to install, just remove them from the Install\Module folder before you update.
