hello,

I've just installed DotNetNuke 4.3.4 source, and I've followed the instructions to in DotNetNuke Installation Guide.pdf, however, when I run it by going to http://localhost/DotNetNuke_2 is get the following error:

XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
Location: http://localhost/dotnetnuke_2/
Line Number 1, Column 2:<%@ Page Language="vb" AutoEventWireup="false" Explicit="True" Inherits="DotNetNuke.Framework.DefaultPage" CodeFile="Default.aspx.vb" %>

I'm sure I've followed everything perfectly, so I have no idea why this is happening.

Does anyone have any hints as to what I can look for?

What's your web.config look like ? (your code looks like default.aspx)

Sounds like ASP.NET framework is may not have been installed or properly registered - sometimes this can also happen if a reinstall of IIS has been done after ASP.NET was installed.  Try running the following from a command line to reregister ASP.NET:

C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_regiis.exe -I
