Help anyone.

I have placed borders on my submenu items. But when I hover on the submenu, the borders disappear. I've searched everywhere but I haven't found any response on it. The first time the page is painted, the borders exist, but after hovering on a submenu item, the boders disappear and it will remain that way. Refreshing the page returns the borders. I would really really appreciate if you could help me on this one.

Below are some references I've found concerning this problem:
(1) http://www.skinningtoolkit.com/DOTNETNUKECLASSES/SolpartMenu/MainMenu_SubMenuItemActive/tabid/185/Default.aspx#SubMenuItemSelected
 - "Note: The border displays for this item, but once you hover over the item the top and bottom borders disappear leaving just the left and right borders."
(2) http://www.dnnnet.com/
 - this isn't mine, just found it. It has the same behavior as mine.

Thanks,
jared

I can second, that we encountered the same issue, but did not find a solution yet. Maybe we need to switch to a nother menu control.

Same here, I haven't really researched fr a solution though. I don't know if it is viable for you but a workaround could be to use background images for normal, selected and active.

Dear jpcastillo

First: wich menu did you use? Solpartmenu?
Second: which version of dnn is installed?
Third: have you set your style on td level? For instance: MainMenu_MenuItemSel td {}?
Fourth: which browser you are using? http://www.dnnnet.com/ site looks good in IE7...
You had to know that IE6 has a bug... (more than one...). In solpart some borders are set to transparent. And in that case the borders have the same color as the font color. I mentioned this already in this forum. Look at my different posts...

Ahh Yes.... the Menu Border Mousover Problems

Yes i'm having this problem "BIG" time and am being told fix it.
The problem is occuring in Firefox/1.5.0.4 and All I.E. browsers. So if this is a bug... as my managers say... "find a work around"... I always love it when they say that.

Would it be too much to ask for a little snip of code sample or suggestion or link reference to exactly how to work around this problem?

I've searched google and the forums - i feel like i'm on a treasure hunt and embarrassed that i cannot find the "FIX" for this

By the way... i'm having to use ye ol' DNN 2.1.2 because its an existing site but the css is the same no matter what version of DNN is being used... i've been testing this for the past month.

From the previous posts, it sounds like there is an answer.

Please help.... with a sample or link or anything.

Thank you in advance.
