Dear DNN experts,

I've just started 2 websites in DNN, nice looking and very good working (interested, ask me for the URL)

As i am Dutch, i want the sites to use the dutch language pack. I installed it and it looks fine, but the Gallery doesn't work anymore and also i cann't change user settings in Admin.

the error i get is:

"Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

When i turn back to the original pre-installed engish version everything works again.

I you know what i can do about it, please please help me out.

Greetings, Jeroen de Rond

which DNN version are you using? You should upgrade to one of the current versions 3.3.4 or 4.3.4, omho the user management issue has already been solved (as far as there is no issue in the language pack, I have not tried the dutch one yet).

i'm using version 04.03.04

and language pack : "ResourcePack[1].Full.04.03.02.nl-NL.zip"

I've tried even other packs and 1 german pack, but the same problems appear.

Can anyone help me out? I really need a dutch translation for my website, but i still need the gallery and i still want to manage user roles when needed.

Is it something i have to set in de Gallery module? In de aspx file or something?

Your lucky, I mostly develop Dutch/english websites  (in belgium)

Please use the latest version, dnn 4.3.4.

http://netherlands.dnn-usergroup.net this is the place where the Dutch language packs are made. The latest version they have is 4.3.2 but it works verry well on DNN4.3.4
They also have Dutch translations of most of the core modules, and a skin for the forum that works beter with the longer Dutch words

I really recommend you keep your admin/host user's settings at English. It just looks and feels better, but this may be a personal preference.

Its weird the gallery doesn't work any more, but it's a bad module, do yourselve a favor and stay away from it except if you need it for the forum. Here's a list of free modules http://www.cathal.co.uk/ there are some gallery modules in there. I don't have a recommendation, I usually custom write gallery' as I need them.

I have the latest version.

Is it possible to set the language per page instead of settings it for the whole site?

I really need the standard Gallery for my site. It's a medical very important dutch site about decompression sickness

It's strange that nobody else experienced the same problem with the gallery in combination with the dutch language pack.

I really hope someone has the answer.
