Hi first of all hi, I'm Nadir (currently from Malta).

I'm a newbie to DotNetNuke, but have been playing around with it for a month or so, and have just one major issue.

I can't seem to take control of Meta tags for keywords.

In the page settings I am only listing a few keywords, when the page is viewed over HTTP, some DNN tags are added. I wouldn't like to hard code the keywords into default.aspx, what could I do instead?

I also removed the robots default tag as I felt it was useless. Are the following tags neccessary? (If so for what functionality - I never met them)

<meta name="RESOURCE-TYPE" content="DOCUMENT">

<meta name="DISTRIBUTION" content="GLOBAL">

<meta name="REVISIT-AFTER" content="1 DAYS">

<meta name="RATING" content="GENERAL">

Thanks, good day to you. ;)

Hello Nadir, welcome to DNN!

With the keywords - each page inheritis from the Site setting keywords if it does not oveerride them on the page settings.
The Default.aspx page dynamically loads pages and modules and uses these settings.

I am not sure about the other Meta Data tags - I think the default.aspx page could be cleaned up quite a bit (XHTML standards etc.)

After weeks of searching I think I found the solution, will have to try it out monday though.

Apparantly there is a 'Show Copyright Credits' option under Host Settings - this casues DotNetNuke and DNN to be added as keywords...

Please note, that the additional keywords and Generator are only added, if the "Show Copyright Credits" option in Site Settings (Host menu) is activated.
